Tip of Spear's Employment Database gives licensed Alberta security employers access to individuals who have recently indicated they are actively looking for work in the security industry.

Rather than simply providing a name and contact number, we collect additional information to help employers identify potential candidates before reaching out, including location, availability, transportation, previous training and experience, languages, preferred type of employment, and a copy of their resume when provided.

Many of the individuals in our database have completed training through Tip of Spear, although the database may also include individuals trained through other approved providers.

What the Employment Database is

​

This is a recruitment resource designed to help employers connect with people who have indicated they are actively seeking security work. Tip of Spear provides the information submitted by candidates to help employers identify people they may wish to contact.

It is not a placement or recruitment agency. Employers remain responsible for interviewing candidates, verifying qualifications and licensing, conducting any required employment screening, and making their own hiring decisions.

 

• New candidate information is added throughout the month and will be no more than one month old when initially provided

• The number of new candidates varies each month based on current student registrations and the security employment market. Recent months have typically added approximately 5–15 new candidates.

 

Candidate information may include:

• Contact information for individuals looking for security work

• Responses to numerous pre-screening questions to quickly find the candidates that match your criteria (Click HERE to see a full list of pre-screening questions!)

• Resumes, when provided by the candidate

We offer 4 types of subscriptions:

• $25+GST per month for a 12 month subscription

• $35+GST per month for a 3 month subscription

• $40+GST per month for a 2 month subscription

• ​$50+GST per month for a 1 month subscription

Note that to subscribe, you will be required to provide proof that you work for a licensed security guard company in Alberta. If you subscribe to a plan that is longer than 1 month, you are obligated to finish the term of your subscription, or be charged in full for the remaining amount owed.
